ATTENTION EMT Applicants!!

If you are certifying with S-SV EMS for the first time, you are considered an Initial certification applicant.  California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 10, §100345. Fees, states the following fees shall apply:

(a)(1) $75 per initial EMT or Advanced EMT certificate or per an applicant whose criminal background check from the DOJ is no longer active.  This also applies to those EMT/AEMT personnel who change certifying entities when they recertify.

Initial Certification-SSV Fee $28.00+EMSA Fee $75.00 = $103.00 (Add $3.00 if paying by debit/credit card)
Recertification-SSV Fee $28.00+EMSA Fee$37.00 = $65.00 (Add $3.00 if paying by debit/credit card)

S-SV EMS Agency Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification is now available - Initial EMR applicants must complete the EMR certification process prior to functioning in this capacity in the S-SV EMS Region. Personnel who are currently certified as either an EMR or First Responder by another entity are allowed to continue to function in this capacity, but must complete the S-SV EMS recertification process upon the expiration of their current EMR or First Responder certification.

The EMR Certification / Recertification Policy (Reference No. 904) as well as the EMR Certification / Recertification application can be viewed and downloaded from the "Certification" section on this website.

Emergency Medical Responder Training Programs / Instructors who plan to conduct classes in the S-SV EMS Region- S-SV EMS Agency program approval is required for all EMR training classes beginning on or after March 1, 2011. The Emergency Medical Responder Training Program Requirements & Approval Process Policy (Reference No. 1004) can be viewed and downloaded from the "Training" section on this website. Please contact the S-SV EMS Agency to request an EMR Training Program Application if necessary.
